Monmouth County is set 30 miles south of New York City along the coastline from Matawan south to Manasquan. It is a county made up of small downtowns, large rural subdivisions and beautiful countryside. all of the areas within an easy commute to NY and Nort Jersey via the Parkway, ferry, NJ Transit or drive. Real Estate in Rumson, NJRumson is the crown jewel of Monmouth County. Nestled between the Navesink and Shrewsbury rivers and close to the ocean the Monmouth County town is fabulous. Its beginnings date back to large country estates for the upper class of New York City in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Made up of large lots and grand old summer homes, Rumson feels as though you have stepped back in time. Today the town offers terrific parks, schools and atmosphere. It also includes the Rumson Country Club, the Rumson Country Day School and a downtown shopping district that runs along the Navesink River. As far as real estate the homes can range from $400,000.00 for a very quaint cottage up to $10,000,000 for a grand waterfront estate. Rumson has a few famous residents, the most famous being Bruce Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa. The town has a great Gatsby feel and is very attractive to many residents due to the high speed ferry to New York City. Rumson is a great town to call home. Real Estate in Fair Haven, NJFair Haven is a small quaint town on the peninsula of Monmouth County that offers a Nantucket feel. The homes here ar emostly modest, some Victorians, cape cods and colonials. There is a very desirable historic district which sits between the River Road shopping area and the Navesink River. The homes here generally are on 50x100 lots and consist of older and newer homes. Another great neighborhood is River Oaks which is made up of ranches and colonials that sit on 100x150 lots and have nice tree lined streets and are a short walk to town. All of the children walk to school. There are no buses and the schools are rated very highly. There are several great parks for residents to enjoy. It's a short walk or drive to downtown Red Bank which offers restaurants, shopping and a great downtown experience. Home prices range from $350,000 to upwards of $6,000,000. Real Estate in Red Bank, NJRed Bank has been dubbed "Red Hot Red Bank". This town has its roots in early steamship trading. Local produce growers would bring their crops to REd Bank to put on ships bound for markets in NYC. It sits right at the foot of the Navesink River and offers a wonderful location. It is home to many shops, restaurants, bars, parks and a great community. Red Bank is home to the Count Basie Theater, Two Rivers Theater and many other cultural centers. The real estate in Red Bank varies greatly. There are things ranging from studio apartments, condos, single family homes, and multi-family homes. The town is fairly upscale but is still affordable. Homes range from between $250,000 to about $2,000,000 but average in the $350,000-$450,000 range. People travel from all around to experience downtown Red Bank and all it has to offer. Real Estate In Little Silver Little Silver is a fairly suburban town with homes built primarily post-World War II, there are a lot of Cape Cod and ranch style homes and also some larger real estate and waterfront homes. Home prices range from $350,000 to $4,000,000 and average between $500,000 to $600,000. This is a town set on the Monmouth County peninsula bordering Red Bank and the Shrewsbury River. The town offers a wonderful suburban lifestyle with lots of parks, waterfront activities and an easy commute to New York. It has a downtown shopping area and a train stop along the North Jersey Coastline rail way. Little Silver is a fine example of a tight knit community that is very attractive in a lot of ways.
